My name is Teri L. Mosier, I am a deaf lawyer living in Louisville, Kentucky. I provide general practice legal services, including securing the rights of people with disabilities. This is my personal web site and is not intended to be an advertisement.I was chosen as an At-Large Delegate for the next President of the United States, Al Gore. I attended the DNC conference in Los Angeles. Although I am not the first national deaf delegate, I appear to be the first democratic delegate from Kentucky. I was also a delegate to the National Stonewall Democratic Federation Convention in Palm Springs, immediately preceding the DNC. I am hoping to attend the Creating Change workshop in Atlanta.

As widely reported online and in the media, deaf folks like myself had problems with DNCC on the first day. Not so widely reported was that after we began advocating for ourselves and our needs we received personal
interpreters for the rest of the convention. Would a deaf caucus inside the
party prevent such problems? Would you join? Post your thoughts in our deaf related forum.
